Parabéns, Liverpool



Hoje o Liverpool completou 119 anos. Acho que é bobagem chover no molhado e falar que se trata de um dos maiores clubes do mundo, que seu estádio é uma lenda do esporte, que alguns dos melhores atletas de todos os tempos já passaram por lá, etc, etc, etc. Farei minha homenagem em números. Quem ainda não sabe o que significa ou não conhece direito a história vai saber um pouco mais sobre o clube. Quem sabe vai curtir algumas curiosidades. Parabéns, Liverpool.

O Liverpool já passou por dias muito ruins em sua história. O clube começou na segunda divisão inglesa e conquistou quatro títulos, em 1893/1984, 1895/1896, 1904/1905 e 1961/1962. A pior fase do clube foi entre 1954, quando caiu para a segundona e 1962, quando voltou para a divisão de elite inglesa. E nunca mais saiu.

  • Inaugurado em 28 de setembro de 1884, substituindo o Stanley Park.

  • Em 1892, numa disputa entre os donos do Anfield e a diretoria do Everton devido ao aluguel, levou ao abandono do estádio e o início da nova casa do Everton, o Goodison Park.
  • John Houlding, um dos donos do estádio, fundou o Liverpool FC em 1892 (a principio, ele registrou o time como Everton Football Club, mas a Federação Inglesa não aceitou registrar dois clubes com o mesmo nome).
  • 1º de setembro de 1892: primeiro jogo do Liverpool em Anfield: 7 a 1 sobre o Rotherham Town por 7 a 1.

Today Liverpool completed 119 years. I think that I don´t need to talk more about one of the biggest clubs in the world, that their stadium is a sports legend, which some of the best athletes of all time have gone through there, etc, etc, etc..   1. O mais legal é ver que em 119 anos o time só teve 20 técnicos. Se você olhar os times brasileiros vai vê que nos últimos 50 anos passaram muito mais que 20.

    Futebol Brasileiro tem muito que aprender com a Europa ainda.
